Fiber only gives me gas?

I have a hard time pooping on my own because I don't get enough fiber in my diet. It takes about 4 days on my own. I tried eating fiber-filled foods but they don't help. I still take days to go (maybe 2-4). And, to be honest, I don't want to waste my daily caloric allotment on fiber cereal when I feel like eggs and bacon for breakfast. So I've decided to try Fibersure. It's basically a powder you add to water and it gives you your daily amount of fiber needed. I'm getting my daily recommended dose of fiber but all I've gotten is terrible gas (yes this is embarring). I'm still taking days to poop but all I'm doing is farting in between. I'm having more trouble now than I was before. And I can't do Laxatives because your body becomes dependent and, after a while, I wouldn't be able to go at ALL on my own. So what do I do?

24wks prg & lower legs are MADDENINGLY ITCHY! How can I stop this?

i am having a similar problem right now, i'm 23 wks preg and my lower legs are itchy as well but it's due to hives (not sure from what tho)! what i find helps is cold showers (warm or hot showers make them itch even worse) and anti-itching cream. use it all day and even when you sleep. Also, if possible sleep in baggy, light material pjs or shorts to avoid rubbing. This is no cure but at least it gives me some relief from itching all the time

Cylinder won't fire, has compression and spark?

One of the cylinders isn't firing on my 1950 willies jeep. The spark plug was black and dry, I replaced it thinking it was defective, still didn't work. I checked to make sure it was getting a spark and it was. I checked the compression and it's good but it's still not going. All four cylinders were firing a week ago until the fuel lines got clogged up. After I cleaned everything out, the problem started. The carburetor needs a rebuild and possible isn't sending enough fuel but it's wierd that only one cylinder isn't going. Any ideas?

Which is better? Acapulco, Puerta Vallarta, or playa del carmen?

I've been to all three and Playa del Carmen is the best. It is on the Caribbean and the water is warm, turquoise, and calm. The others are on the Pacific and the water is cold, dark blue, and rough. Both Acapulco and PV are on bays making the ocean a little more agreeable. But, it's still brown coarse sand on the beaches. The Caribbean is a much better choice and as said earlier,there is so much to do. Plus the Mayan people of the Yucatan are so nice. Very gracious.

I've read Stel Pavlou's Decipher and that is well worth a read, I found it to be clever and dragged you in and it unfolded its secrets at a stately pace instead of playing it in the hopes of getting the reader to make 'oohing' noises, which is fine but lately there have been to many books like that. I've read Timeline also but found the way that he approached this book as being in three parts a third of it fiction storytelling, a third him regaling us with his knowledge of historical France and the final third him trying to be a science teacher and explain time-travel complete with diagrams. She also had an emergency c-section which I think does mess with a woman and there apperance. My 3 mo old baby wakes up very hour due to congestion any ideas why and how I can help him? ?

He does not have a cold and no other symptoms. He is not at all congested during the day. I have tried raising the head of his cradle, humidifier, vicks and saline drops, leaving the window open a crack for fresh air and everything I can think of. As soon as I sit him up the congestion goes away. Sleeping propped right up with a pillow works but only for a few hours. I don't think its an allergy as we have no pets, no smoking, no carpet and a well cleaned bedroom. Help!!!

9 week old baby problems?

My daughter goes through periods where she is fine then all of the sudden she just starts screaming. I check to make sure she isn't hungry, wet, that nothing is hurting her, try to give her a pacifier, hold her, walk around with her, put her in the bouncer, sing to her, talk to her, put her in front of the tv (usually she likes that), rock her (that makes her cry more) & nothing will make her stop. SOMETIMES if I walk around holding her that helps but not usually. These episodes just started about 2 weeks ago. They are only during the afternoon (idk if that means anything). She is also super attached to me. Even when she is in a good mood she wants me to hold her 24/7. She won't even sleep unless she is next to me. I feel like I'm doing everything wrong; like I made her be unhealthily attached to me by holding her soo much & I can't seem to make her happy. What can I do??

Well, from what I can remember, the dream looked like it was filmed on an older camcorder. It was a girl who had found an alligator in her home but it didn't really make her surprised. If I tan, I can get pretty dark but I inherited my dad's skin over my mom's and I'm whiter than Nicole Kidman usually. My boyfriends niece is 5 years old and her parents still let her use a pacifier! Aren't they wrong for this?

Her teeth have this permanent shape of a pacifier in them and it looks horrible. She also still sleeps with them in their bed. She has an older brother who is almost 8 and he doesn't have the same babyish habits. She cries at night if she can't have her pacifier and they still give it to her. My catechism doesn't have anything about limbo in it, but it does contain information about purgatory, which is based on the Jewish concept of Geheddah and is referenced in the bible. (Mine is a first edition Canadian English translation). Limbo is a non-biblical concept which was mainly more of an aspect of folk religion. Are there times where you just have to let a baby cry?

I've heard this from almost all the moms I've known. They tell me, sometimes a baby will cry for no reason and you just have to let them cry themselves out. Is this true? I have a two month old girl who sometimes cries for no reason. At times, she just wants me to hold her. My husband says I'm spoiling her and to let her cry it out but I can't! It just breaks my heart. So do I let her cry or is there an alternative? I've already fed, given her a pacifier, given her water, burp her , change her, give her a bath, etc etc....but sometimes these things don't work and I end up holding her for an hour until she falls asleep.

Is it normal for 7wk old infant with colic to have daily pain/rolling stomach b/c she doesn't go liquid poop?

My 7 wk old infant daughter has colic & in the last 3 weeks she has started not going to the bathroom but is not constipated. I've gone to the doctor regular & ER 1 time & it isn't helping. I have been unable to let her go for the week that they say a fed baby can wait until going poop b/c she is inconsolable with pain if I do. Shes fed, takes simethicone regularly & given glycerin suppositories as dr recc'd up to 2/day but still having pxs. I've tried baking soda & sugar as recc'd for sour stomach. I've tried diluted prune juice as recc'd but it hasn't helped. I try rubbing/pressure on her tummy which she doesn't like, patting back, bouncing, holding, walking, white noise, vibrations, dark room, try diapering & feeding too. When she goes poop, it is liquid but everyday her tummy rolls, she strains squirms and cries & nothing comes out. If I wait 24+ hours to see if she goes, all she leaves is skid marks in her diaper, & is inconsolable day & night. Any suggestions?

Im a new yorker :-( and rush hour in the subway is nothing short over crowded. I was in the subway yesterday afternoon and there is a staircase leading down to the subway and an escalator that goes up but often times gettin to the escalator takes to much time so many people just walk up the stairs. There is sometimes a MTA employee directing the flow of traffic and trying to prevent people from walking up the stairs since it congests the traffic headed into the subway. In any case, he was trying to stop people and one gentleman continued walkin in which case 3 police officers intervened grabbing the gentleman by his shirt throwing him against a little metal barricade to arrest him. This obviously started the fiasco, he loudly questioned why he was being arrested and one of the officers screamed at him at least 2x to shut the F*** up. The young man exclaimed loudly that he was being arrested for walking up the stairs as he was drawing a crowd of onlookers. They started dragging him up the stairs and half way up one of the cops pushed him a little hard causing him to fall flat on his face while people were still trampling by. He screamed out again and the officer said again shut the F*** up. So they bring him upstairs and seat him on the bench and began askin him for id while he continues yelling that he's being arrested for walkin up the stairs. 2 more cops join the "fun" as they realize they are being watched and photos are being taken. In an effort to settle the situation they try and give him a ticket which he refuses so the continue with the arrest. Needless to say I have pictures of the incident and all of the arresting officers. Should i report them for their unneccessary use of force or should i just mind my business??
