Please help me choose a book?

I've read Stel Pavlou's Decipher and that is well worth a read, I found it to be clever and dragged you in and it unfolded its secrets at a stately pace instead of playing it in the hopes of getting the reader to make 'oohing' noises, which is fine but lately there have been to many books like that. I've read Timeline also but found the way that he approached this book as being in three parts a third of it fiction storytelling, a third him regaling us with his knowledge of historical France and the final third him trying to be a science teacher and explain time-travel complete with diagrams. And when thrown together felt a little bit mismatched, haven't read any of the others in your list.
