What do you think about what my bf said...its kinda long..but i need help...10 easy points..help plzz?

Okay like me and my bf were talking on the phone,and he said i'm talking about a friend,don't think i'm talking about myself,i said okay,then he said that this friend of mine has 2 gfs,and he likes the 1st one a lot,but isn't that keen about the 2nd one,and now he's guilty that he was cheating on the 1st one,so he wants to tell her everything...then i said ya so what..then he said that suppose that u were the 1st gf (the one he likes ) what would you do,if he told you about the 2nd gf,then i said that it depends on how much time he actually cheated,so he thought for a few secs like he was saying hmmmm um mm n all,then he said 4 months,so like we've been together for 5 months...so this kinda made me feel that he was talking about himself,then he was like what would you do,then i said i would dump him,then he said you're different so the girl would forgive my friend,i said maybe,who knows,then he said my friend told me to ask a girl so i asked you,then he was like i told him to leave the 2nd gf,and not to tell the 1st gf..then he said that is friend said that he can't live without telling her...and my bf tells me everything..am i over reacting or was he actually talking about himself??? pleez help..
