Spaniards and Mestizos?

I have a question, how come many mestizos look Spaniard? Like me for example, I have Spaniard, Irish, and Aztec or Indigenous blood in me and people have told me how mediterranean I look. (My camera makes me look darker and more tan) My other question is, does European blood overrun Native blood? I'm just curious.
