How do I calculate average atomic m of an element?

Do I calculate the isotopic m number with the percent abundances of that particular isotope or the isotopic m with the percent abundance? The isotopic m and the isotopic m number are very very similar. What is the difference and which do I use to calculate the average atomic m?
