What does the catholic church believe about jesus walking on water?

I went to catholic school till 5th grade and they believe he walked on water literally. and being the black sea is very dense and salty and depending on the time of year and how calm the water was it is possible to do, google the black sea and about its density and how you float on top of the water its actually kind of interesting.
