Onion Cells under a microscope?

for my biology lab, i studied onion cells under low power and high power under a light microscope. for the diameters of the cells, i got 2000 micrometers for the onion cell under low power and i got 500 micrometers for the onion cell under high power. Are the diameters of the cells supposed to be different under different objective lenses?
